Ever since I moved into my small studio -- with its mini-fridge, microwave, and hot plate -- I crave a real kitchen. The kind you can bake in, walk around in, and even dance to the beat of the sizzling stove top. My favorite kind of kitchens are those that have been lived in. They smell of fresh foods, the shelves are stacked with spices, and you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Take the rustic-style kitchen inside Meg Ryan's beach house. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of red wine, while stirring up a light pasta and panzanella salad... a Barefoot Contessa favorite, I'm sure.
